In the unfortunate event that inventory item(s) are missing or damaged, this can be directly reported to your move coordinator, who will start a claim file. In this article, you find a detailed description on how to file a claim.
1. Report missing or damaged items directly to your move coordinator
Contact your move coordinator to report any missing or damaged items. The move coordinator will create a digital file and an automated email will be sent to you with instructions on how to report the missing or damaged items.
2. Receive automated email with instructions on how to complete your claim
You will receive an automated email (sender: noreply@move4u.com) to digitally report your loss and/or damage. In the email, you will find the login details (#1) and the links (#2) to download the app for Apple and Google.
If you haven't received the email, check your email spam box
Please note that the provided login details will expire after 14 days due to security reasons. If your login details are expired, contact your move coordinator.
3. Download the app to your device and login with provided login details
Go the the Apple Store or Google play to download "The ClaimApp" to your device, or use the links provided in the email. Open the app, select the language and click on "set language".
After setting the language, you will be redirected to the login page where you can enter the received username (your email address) and the passcode received in the email.
4. File your claim in 5 simple steps
All fields with an asterisk * are mandatory fields
- Step 1: Complete the contact information and your current address and click on the "save and continue" button
- Step 2: Complete the country and city of origin, the delivery date at destination, the claim details and click on the "save and continue button"
- Step 3: Add all damaged and/or missing items in the "damage overview" by clicking on the "add an item" button.
Provide all details about the damaged/missing item, click on
the "take photo" button to add photos of the item and damage
and click on "save and continue" to go back to the "damage
overview" page.
Once all damaged/missed items are added to the "damage overview"
click on the "save and continue" button.
We advise taking two photos, one where the damage is clearly visible and one of the complete damaged item. If available, you can also add a photo of the purchase receipt or any repair quotes.
- Step 4: Complete your bank details and click on "save and continue"
- Step 5: Summary page, here you find the overview of the reported items. You can add items and once completed tick the box to confirm that all damage/missing items are listed and tick the "agreement' box before ticking the "finalize and submit claim request" button.
DO NOT CLOSE THE APP when the "finalize and submit claim request" popup is still uploading the claim, this can take up to a few minutes.
When the claim is successfully uploaded, you will be re-directed to the following page and the app can be closed.
