These are steps before the demo, where Move4u presents the app to the NEW company (Environment).
ADD COMPANY
- First, open the new company's website. This is important to extract all the relevant information.
- Next step is to go inside the Move Dashboard website and tab on the Administration > Companies > Add Company
- Once you've pulled the data from the website, you can start adding relevant information.
- Company prefix: is used to generate the reference numbers for move files. (Use the initials of the company name.)
- Products: Choose the products which are going to be available for the demo. And it is always very important to add ProApps to give them access to the move files.
- Address: You must search the address at the company's web site
- Change the Active, Free Trial and External Task (If they will assign external tasks to other people.) options to yes. One company assigns an external task to another company because they are not in the same environment, and that external company completes the task for them.
"For example, let's say Ace is based in Los Angeles, and Suddath works for another company in New York. If Ace needs to do a packing job in New York but they don't have any crew there, they can ask Suddath company to do it."
- To finalize the company details, click save and refresh the page. (If you have some issues on the refresh, please go to the support move dashboard and refresh the cache.)
- You must ensure that the new company appears within the environment drop-down menu.
DEFAULT SETTINGS
- Now that the company has been created, we can continue with the setup. Please go to the Company section and navigate to Settings > Company > General.
- In this section you can define the Date format, Time Format, Color, Documentation page size (America = Letter; Europe = A4), and upload the Image of the company's logo.
- Within the drop-down “Allowed task types”, you can select what type of tasks you will allow for the company. (Delivery, Packing, Pack and Load, Survey, and many more.)
DEFAULT METRICS
- Length is used to measure dimensions of items being transported
- Helps determine how items fit into trucks or containers
- Volume indicates how much space an item occupies.
- Calculating capacity utilization of transport vehicles.
- Density = Weight / Volume.
- Helps identify if an item is heavy but small (dense) or light but bulky (low density). This affects handling, pricing, and transport methods.
- Estimated weight = Volume × Density factor (5 in this example, you can choose in the dropdown) (The measure is already predetermined because you can´t weigh each item.)
- Ensures compliance with legal weight limits and helps in cost estimation and safe transport planning.
- Using cm or inches provides accuracy for packing.
- Travel distances are usually long, so larger units like kilometers or miles are practical and easier to understand.
AGENTS
- Now we have finished with the general settings. You must go to the Company section and tab on the Settings > Company > Agents section
- This is in case they want to assign an external task to another company that is using our product. You need to make that connection from here. If they want us to make a survey for them or like a job for them with the app, we should make this connection here.
SERVICES
- Now we have finished with the Agent settings. You must go to the Company section and tap on the Settings > Company > Services

PROAPPS
- Now we have finished with the Company settings. You have to go to the Company section and tab on the Settings > Solutions > ProApps buttons.
- Upload the company logo and configure the PDF and text colors.
- For the PDF and Text colors go into this picker page to search for the exact colors of the company. https://imagecolorpicker.com/
It is important to make contrast between them to avoid colors overlapping into each other
- There is an interesting option where you can add additional walkthrough questions that will be displayed within the CrewPro application.
- Don't forget to assign a license to the company user for whom you'll be conducting the demo. You can follow the steps in this article: How to Add/Delete Licenses from a Company
DOCUMENTATION
- When a new company is created, it doesn't have any active documentation by default. As a result, key features like the pre-inspection button or the reports section won’t appear in the app. How to Enable All Documents for a Demo
- This is especially important when preparing a demo for a new company, since missing documentation can make essential features invisible, potentially giving the wrong impression about the system’s capabilities.
- Below is a link that explains step by step how to set up the documentation for a demo:
